SALEM, Ore. — Willamette University defeated Walla Walla University 90-84 at Cone Field House on Friday night. The Bearcats capitalized on 20 steals, converting them into 30 points off turnovers. Despite Walla Walla's 50-point surge in the second half, the Bearcats maintained their lead, aided by a strong performance on the offensive boards with 25 rebounds.

Willamette surged ahead in the first half, leveraging a strong bench contribution of 25 points to establish a 48-34 lead over Walla Walla. The home team dominated beyond the arc, hitting 10 3-pointers on 27 attempts, while also controlling the boards with a 29-19 rebounding advantage. The Bearcats' defense forced nine turnovers, converting them into 15 points, which further widened the gap heading into the next half.
